Professional Experience
Mark joined the drywall industry after graduation from college as a Technical Representative for United States Gypsum Company. After three years in that job, Mark moved to Panel Tech, Inc. as Director of Technical Services, then General Manager/Vice President and eventually President. In 1990, Mark became President of Grayhawk as part of a merger between Panel Tech, Inc. and Drywall, Inc. He became an owner in 1997 and the majority owner in 2002. Mark is a past President of the Association of the Wall & Ceiling Industry (AWCI) and the Bluegrass Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute. He is a Certified Document Technologist (CSI) and a Certified EIFS Industry Professional (AWCI). In 2006, he received the prestigious AWCI Pinnacle Award.
Personal Data
Mark and his wife Hope have been married 22 years. They have three daughters, three son-in-laws, and seven grandchildren. He enjoys golf, snow skiing, college athletics and travel.
Community/Professional Affiliations
Mark has served on the Living Arts & Science Center, Hospice of the Bluegrass, Association of the Wall & Ceiling Industry, Foundation of the Wall & Ceiling Industry, AGC of Kentucky and Bluegrass Chapter of CSI board of directors.
Education
Graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, NE in 1979, with a BS in Architecture.
